What changed, and when.

Every release, in plain words, newest first. Nothing here is planned or promised; it is what is live.

The public site, the guides, and a voice for trials

  • A guide to finding and filing short-paid commissions, a shortfall calculator, comparisons against Sion, Tern and a spreadsheet, and export walkthroughs for Tern, TravelJoy, Trams, TESS and TravelWorks.
  • Trials now receive three short notes from the founder on days 1, 7 and 12, with a real reply address.
  • A security page, a contact form, and this changelog.
  • The site was redesigned: sticky navigation, real product screens, and its own typeface.

Sell it, and let a stranger buy it

  • Self-serve sign-up with a 14-day trial on the Growth plan, no card required.
  • Plans and billing through Stripe checkout and the billing portal. Read access is never withdrawn when a subscription ends.
  • Terms, privacy policy, data processing addendum and the list of sub-processors, published.
  • Filter discrepancies and cases by supplier and booking date, and export exactly what you filtered.
  • Two-factor authentication with recovery codes; owners can require it for their team.
  • Supplier and booking date on every booking, so the dashboard shows who owes the most and whether it is getting worse.
  • Import any export: map your header once and it is remembered. Amounts in every common format; a rate column can stand in for an expected amount.
  • Invite a colleague by email, with roles: owner, admin, analyst, viewer.
  • Live at marginshield.app over HTTPS.

A screen for everything

  • The web application: dashboard, imports, discrepancies, the recovery queue and case screens.
  • Browser sign-in with server-side sessions and CSRF protection.
  • Roles, an append-only audit trail, and API keys that are shown once and can be revoked.
  • Password reset by email, and encrypted off-site backups with a weekly restore check.

The engine

  • CSV import with exact decimal arithmetic, one currency per row, and duplicate-file detection.
  • Expected against actual per booking; discrepancies and per-currency summaries.
  • Recovery cases: open, investigate, submit, record partial and full recovery. A recovery can never exceed its shortfall.
  • Tenant isolation enforced by the database, not by application code.

For the operational side, the security page lists what is not done yet.
