Works with Tern

Tern exports, reconciled.

Tern reconciles inside its own CRM on agency plans. If you want an audit across every system you use, or you are on a plan without reconciliation, export from Tern and let MarginShield do the comparison.

Getting the export

  1. Open Back office, then Bookings. Filter to the period you want, usually one month of bookings by booking date.

  2. Choose Export at the top right. Tern writes a CSV with the same columns as the table on screen.

  3. For commission specifically, Commission then Bookings has its own export, and Commission then Unclaimed lists what Tern thinks is outstanding.

  4. Upload the CSV in MarginShield and map the header once. The mapping is remembered.

One row per booking. A supplier that paid in instalments shows as a partial status with more than one received amount.

Mapping the columns

MarginShield needs a booking reference, a currency, what you expected and what you received. Supplier and booking date are optional and worth mapping. Column names marked as seen come from Tern’s own documentation; the rest are inferred from its screens, and the mapping step will show you your actual headers either way.

Tern carries a separate currency column per amount. Map the expected commission’s currency; check it matches the received currency.

If a booking has Commission 2 and 3 received columns, add them into one column in your spreadsheet before uploading. MarginShield maps one received column per row.

Watch for

  • The column names above are those of Tern’s own import template, which is also what its export mirrors. If your export’s headers differ, the mapping screen will show you them and you pick.
  • Bookings exported without a commission amount will be refused, not guessed. Export with the commission columns included.
